Sadly, summer came to an end. We managed to squeeze every bit of fun out of it though!
One of our favorite places: an arboretum a few miles from home. We headed out there one afternoon, only to find neighborhood friends were also there. Fun was had by all, and it was a great way to spend an afternoon!
Our annual plate painting tradition.
This year's installment: Harry Potter! This summer we listened to the audio of the first book, and then watched the movie together. We all loved it!
Andrew with his "balloon kills" with Papa Jack and his bb gun.
Andrew sleeping photos: can't stop. won't stop.
One of my favorites drove 2.5 hours (starting at 5am) so we could run a 10 miler together before our 1/2 marathon in a few weeks. She is the best!
A new hobby!
And in a moment of crazy, I agreed to a dual slumber party that resulted in 5 kids at our house. It went really well and the kids had a blast!
Eclipse fever! We managed to get the last pair of glasses from our library. The kids got to watch the eclipse near Lincoln with grandma & grandpa, and I got to take a break from work to enjoy it. So neat!
A neighbor mom sent me this photo from the park: Andrew was randomly leading the kids in a meditation. :)
As always, I feel so blessed to have had summer with my kids. I'm sad it's over, but looking forward to watching the kids grow this school year.
