Nine!

Nine is: a gentle heart & scraped knees. Becoming a reader and playing Minecraft. Loving sushi and hating to shower.  Morning cuddles and trampoline flips. Happy birthday to our sweet, sweet boy. 

Lately

School is in full-swing and as a family who thrives on routine, we have found our stride in this new season. Here's what we have been up to lately. 

Iowa at its finest.

 The newest Cavanagh! We were so excited to meet baby Jack Thomas. 

 Thursdays mean family jump night.

 4-Wheeling Fun.

 Andrew started flag football this fall. He is loving it and it's been really fun to watch. 

 Celebrating this girl's bravery for trying out for the school play. Four days later we found out she got a main cast role as Pinocchio!

 Baby Jack SO mad that the Cyclones lost by one. 

 Date night downtown. 

 And a fun afternoon with Kate in the East Village. 

Back to School

We officially have a 6th & 3rd grader! The transition back to school went really well for all of us, and while it was sad to see summer go it's always great to start a year of learning and growth. PS-It feels so weird to have a daughter the same age as my students this year. 

Back to school tradition of painting a plate. This year's featured Kate's beloved Guinea Pigs, Coco & S'mores.
