Christmas Blessings

2019 was a sweet Christmas season, full of all of our favorite traditions and time with family.

Decorating the tree.
 S'more's first Christmas.
Annual gift exchange with our besties.
Decorating a gingerbread house left by our elf, Max.

A sweet Christmas Eve service with cousins.

Enjoying a quiet afternoon by the tree after church.
Christmas jammies before we headed to Papa & Grandma's for dinner and gifts.

 Papa Jack & Cora
 Cavanagh cousins.

We spent the entire day of Christmas at home, which was so nice. It was 60*, so we enjoyed a lunch on the patio and our new game of Spikeball in the backyard.

A few days later we traveled to Grandma & Grandpa Vogel's to spend time with the Vogel cousins.

Our greatest gifts. So blessed during this season.

Lately

November was a fun month with some school events for Kate, Thanksgiving travels, and time with friends.

I was able to sneak away from work to watch Kate's 6th grade volleyball tournament. It was incredibly loud, but so fun to watch.

Frozen 2 on our first day of Thanksgiving Break
Baby Jane smile is the best.

Another school event: Biztown, which was right down the street from my school so I was able to stop by. Kate was the CEO of the insurance company.
 Winter concert.
Andrew was knocked out with Influenza, which lead to a rough 3-5 days.
ISU basketball game. We love Hilton!

Let Your Freak Flag Fly

Back in August, Kate decided this was going to be the year she tried out for the school play, Shrek. Having never done something like this before, I had no idea what to expect. She ended up getting the part of Pinocchio,  and after months of hard work and practice, it was time for the show. She did an amazing job and I cried through the entire performance. It is such a joy watching your child step out of her comfort zone and shine. We are beyond proud of our little star.

Pumpkin Patch

It almost didn't happen, but we managed to sneak in some time at a new-to-us pumpkin patch. It was a sweet way to spend an afternoon together.
