Ten!

Ten is: never skipping a morning hug & trash talking during video games. It's missing his friends & sports & recess. It's being the best big cousin and going to be taller than mom soon. It's saying "these are hard times" and believing donuts make everything better. Happy birthday to our favorite guy. 

 

Back to School

As with everything in 2020, back to school looked different than ever before, with all of us learning & teaching virtually. There are thins that are really hard, like missing friends, but also some bonuses: like 10:00 snack & staying in PJs if we want. 

 

Belle Vista

While most of our summer plans were canceled, including our beloved week at the cabin, we were still able to enjoy a few days in Arkansa. We enjoyed the amazing covered deck and had the entire no-wake lake to ourselves most of the time. It was the perfect getaway. 

Summer lately

This summer, just like the months before, has been a season of both/and. We have found sweet moments, but it's also a time of political & social unrest, a global pandemic that continues to worsen, and so many unknowns with what's to come. It's been hard to find a balance of staying informed & involved, while still trying to rest knowing we will need to be ready with whatever comes this fall. Here's what we have been up to. 

A progressive neighborhood celebration on the last day of school. Each house hosted an activity or treat and the kids traveled between them. It was so much fun!
