Back to School

And just like that we have a kindergartner and a third grader! Both kids were really excited to check out their rooms and meet their teachers during open house on Monday.

Today was the first day of school. I had to be with my own students (sob), so I missed all of the fun. Jason reported that the kids did an amazing job and not a tear was shed!

Froyo to celebrate a great first day. SO proud. Here's to a fantastic year!

Lately

August adventures:

Just a boy trying to get his drone down from the tree. By standing on a car. It worked.
 Love this sweet photo.
Our first family garden was such a success that the kids had a vegetable garden, which featured cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, and lemonade.
Brave little girl going down the ramp at the skate park.
 She is my theater buddy!
 Iowa Cubs game.
He was in it for the food. As always.
This picture is titled: Waiting for Dad to Come Home From Work.
 Playscape at Jester Park.
My adorable nephew sits on my lap, puts my necklace in my mouth, and then makes these hilarious faces as he waits for me to spit it out of my mouth. And then repeat.

Our other adorable nephew Knoxley came to stay for the night! Enjoying Mickey together before bed.
And the zoo the next day.
A kayak ride for date night.

 Annual girls day.
 Painting.
 Hiking.
 Ice Cream.
Dad & Andrew got their own ice cream after an afternoon at the arcade.
Woke up and came downstairs one morning to find that Andrew had made me an English muffin and labeled it "mom". Melt my heart.
He borrowed a skate board from the neighbor and now wants one for his birthday.
 5 going on 15.
Each year I am beyond thankful for the three months I get to spend with my littles!
