Dallas, Y'all!

On Wednesday the kids & I loaded up in the car and drove 725 miles to Dallas to finish my college roommate and her two kids.

7:30 departure time...feeling great and ready to go!
We stopped every three hours for gas, to stretch, and pick out a treat. This worked really well at breaking up the 11 hour trip. Here is a stop in Kansas. The drive went relatively quickly, though I could have done without the stretch from Oklahoma City to Dallas.
After a good night's sleep we headed downtown with our friends to the Dallas Science Center. It was quite busy because of spring break, but the kids had fun looking at all of the exhibits.
 Andrew racing a T-Rex.
We then had lunch and played at an amazing park in the city. The zip line was so much fun!
Settling in for sleep after a fun-filled day. :)
On day #2 we drove back downtown to the Dallas Arboretum. It was incredibly beautiful and had so many fun things for the kids to do. Definitely our favorite part of the trip!

That night we celebrated St. Patrick's Day with traditional Irish food. We also celebrated Kate & Joseph's upcoming birthdays, as they were born only 2 days apart.
My mood for most of the drive home was this (Kansas & the same children's soundtrack on repeat will do that to even the strongest),
though I really can't complain because it went quite well. In 1400+ miles, I only made one wrong turn and the kids did an amazing job. We had a wonderful time and I am so thankful for this adventure we were able to take together!

I sure do love these two.
