Minnesota '15

We just returned from our annual trip to the cabin, and I have to say it was our best week yet! The weather was great, the kids are old enough to trust that they won't jump off the dock on their own and sink to the bottom, and we all enjoyed hanging out by the water and relaxing on the boat.

As usual, this post will have a picture overload...I just can't stop!

We drove up on the 4th and made it just in time to go to the parade in town and watch fireworks from the boat afterwards. Andrew saw exactly 0% of the show before falling asleep, and Kate caught about 20% of it.

The kids spent LOTS of time fishing. This trip ruins the rest of the attempted fishing throughout the year because they literally catch a fish each time they put their lines in...no patience needed!

Have you ever seen a cuter fisherman?! This is Andrew's biggest catch of the week, a "yellow belly sunny". Kate's largest fish was a giant large mouth bass. Unfortunately we were unable to document it, so it will go down as a legend.

As always, lots of shenanigans went on.

Tubing...in checking old pictures we realized Kate has been riding the tube since she was three. This year she was brave enough to stand up by herself!

Andrew didn't love it as much as Kate, especially after the incident that left both of them temporarily floating out to sea after falling off the tube. ;)
Campfire s'mores = nothing more delicious.

I took little Knoxley for daily walks...we both loved them so much.

Sneaking away for a date night chai tea and caramel malt.

As always, we are so thankful for this week with the Vogels. We look forward to it every year and it never disappoints. Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa for helping make such wonderful memories!
