This weekend was finally the day Andrew had been waiting for: rocket launching day. The conditions were ideal--no wind, a wide open field, and three highly skilled NASA crew.
Finding the perfect spot.
Setting up.
Ready for launch...except the batteries were dead. So after 7 tries...
A wish on a dandelion...
And a couple tackles of his sister...
I finally drove to the nearest gas station to get a new battery. This time...
...a SUCCESS!
We followed it with an evening bike ride around Gray's Lake.
And then we called it a day.
