Yankton

A last minute road trip to Yankton, South Dakota turned into a fun-filled day at the campsite with Grandma & Grandpa Vogel! 

We brought the kids' bikes and they had a lot of fun peddling around on the roads and bike path. Jason and I also enjoyed a good workout with a ride into town. 

 Taking time to hydrate. 

 The day started cloudy and cold, but warmed up enough to play in the water at the beach. 

 Another highlight: Jason & I got to attend our first archery class at the campsite. While wildlife is safe for now, we both agreed it would be fun to do some more shooting in the future. 

A bit of fishing after dinner. (no fish caught...just a lot of seaweed)

 Roasting marshmallows for smores. 

 And back to the beach the next morning. This trip started as a bike ride, but the empty beach was too tempting so it turned into digging for treasures in their underwear.
