Yesterday was just one of those days that was fulled with so much fun. I decided to take some pictures along the way to capture it.
We started the day with the kids' project at Lowes. This was awesome--the kids each got a wooden plane kit and a small hammer with instructions on how to put it together. They both love to pound, so it was perfect for them. (And I only messed up the construction once, which Jason promptly fixed).
Next, was a stop at Quick Trip for what has become a Saturday tradition: doughnut balls in the car as we run errands!
We then drove to a tree lot to pick out our Christmas tree. We had no trouble finding the perfect one.
After lunch we enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather and spent some time at the neighborhood park. Being the little goofy monkey that she is, Kate has taken to climbing on TOP of the tube slide.
Which, of course, Andrew wants to do also.
Last on our list: decorate the tree. Here is a shot taken while we were playing with the camera settings.
Andrew's only interest in the process was the "balls".
He filled this jar repeatedly while Kate was busy putting the ornaments on the tree.
His one attempt...
...but he then got in trouble for trying to throw the ball and decided to forget Christmas & go back to eating his unfinished dinner.
Kate on the other hand, was very diligent in getting all of the ornaments hung.
The finished product.
If the day was any indication of the next month to come, we are in for a busy, sweet and joyful season!
