Kate has been asking to go ice skating, so we decided to take her to the rink downtown today. The temps were in the mid-40s, which made it a perfect day to give it a try.

I nabbed this "trainer" for her to try. She did a great job with it.
She was grinning the entire time she spent on the ice...even during the falls. What a great way to end 2011!
