Since the summer is sadly coming to an end, I wanted to spend a day with my favorite little girl. It started with lunch at Panera's where Kate enjoyed a large flower cookie for dessert.
We then went to a store where Kate was able to paint a piece of pottery. She (of course) chose a monkey to paint and had a fantastic time covering it in all of her favorite colors.
She was so confused & upset that we couldn't take it home right then, so the employee took her back to show her the large kilns where it would "cook". That seemed to clarify things.
And we wrapped up our day with a trip to the beach. She LOVES the water and could have spend the whole day there (which was actually the plan, but the rain forced us inside for awhile)
Kate spent the entire day skipping and doing her dance as we went from one thing to the next...she loved the one-on-one time & so did I!
