Jason & I just returned from an awesome trip to Portland, Oregon. It was a much needed vacation that included just the right amount of relaxation & fun.
The first day we took a hike, which lead us to the top of Beacon Rock. This overlooked the Colombia River and the view was amazing.
These are the switchbacks we climbed to get there.
This is near The Bridge of the Gods, just some place we stopped along the way to take in the view.
Our second hike of the day lead to this gorgeous waterfall. The path was secluded and we were happy to have only run into a few people on our 4 mile climb.
At the end of the first day we met up with my old college roommate and her husband to take a (almost) full moon kayak trip.
Both Jason & I agreed this was our favorite part of the entire trip!
On the third day, we drove through the scenic forests and had fun stopping along the way. Our trip ended with 13 hours of travel and we are glad to be home. Many thanks to both sets of grandparents for watching the little ones so that we could enjoy our time away!
